Welcome to Caskgate Surgery Online

Elswitha Hall has been a doctor's surgery since the turn of the 20th century. It is a Grade 11A Listed Georgian building which was built in approximately 1750.

In 1861 it was the birth place of Sir Halford John Mackinder, a noted geographer, administrator and explorer. In 1990 the surgery was extensively renovated and the new Mackinder Wing was built. We are committed to the principles of the National Health Service and each doctor tries to deal personally with his own patients.

Access For The Disabled

The council car park at the front of the surgery has reserved car parking spaces for the disabled. Wheelchair access to the building is via a ramp at the main entrance. A disabled patients' WC Is provided on the ground floor. If you have difficulties with stairs please make the receptionist aware when you book the appointment and again on your arrival, and we can arrange for you to see the nurse on the ground floor. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients we would be happy to consider any suggestions for Improvement
